Floor finishing with wood stains and floor wax by Brighton floor experts. Our floor finishing service is the final step we take once we have sanded and repaired your wooden floor. For us it’s about putting the finishing touches on the work our craftsmen have carried out, so your wooden floor can last longer.

Tailoring the finish of the floor

As part of the finish, we apply the best quality varnishes or oils depending on the condition and location of the flooring. For wooden flooring in homes we use a water-based varnish called ‘Bona Mega’ and a high-performing varnish called ‘Bona Traffic’ for high-use areas such as school halls.

For properties with parquet and other hardwood floors, we can use ‘Treatex’ hard wax oil.

Hand stripping for old flooring

We specialise in the restoration and preservation of flooring for graded buildings or early Victorian and Regency floors. We offer a professional hand stripping service that involves a lengthy process of chemical stripping, wire wool buffing and a lot of elbow grease. The finished result is a unique finish, as close as possible to keeping the original patina and historical look.

Will it look in keeping?

Once your floor has been sanded we can stain it with a ‘Morrells’ stain, which is used to create different colour options. This will ensure that you get the colour you want so it is in keeping with the rest of your property.
